PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) tubing systems have largely displaced copper for new residential plumbing installation in North America, and lead-free brass insert fittings are the critical interface between PEX runs and threaded connections at fixtures, manifolds, and appliances. Our PEX insert fittings are manufactured from C27450 lead-free brass (≤0.25% Pb weighted average) — fully NSF 61 and NSF 372 compliant for potable water service in all 50 US states under AB 1953-equivalent legislation. We supply both crimp-ring style (ASTM F1807) for use with copper crimp rings and a calibrated crimp tool, and clamp/cinch style (ASTM F2098) for use with 304 stainless steel ear clamps and a one-handed cinch tool.
Both styles work with PEX-A, PEX-B, and PEX-C tubing from any major manufacturer (Uponor, Viega, Rehau, Apollo, SharkBite, Watts). Available sizes cover 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", and 1" PEX OD — with 1/2" being the dominant residential SKU. Working pressure is 160 PSI at 73°F and 100 PSI at 180°F, with a 200°F maximum continuous service temperature.
Each fitting carries the ASSE 1061 certification mark for permitted use in potable water systems. We offer the complete PEX fitting geometry range: 90° elbows, 45° elbows, straight couplings, reducing couplings, tees (equal and reducing), male and female adapters in NPT and BSP, plug ends, and stub-out ells for fixture connection. Drop-ear elbows and brackets for shower and toilet supply rough-in are produced to match common North American framing layouts. Private-label retail blister pack programs are available with custom artwork and UPC management.
