SAE 45° flare fittings are the industry-standard mechanical connection for refrigerant line work, refrigerant access ports, and refrigerant transfer equipment across commercial and residential HVACR. Our brass 45° flare fittings are machined to SAE J512 dimensional requirements from C36000 free-machining brass, providing the work-hardening characteristics needed to maintain a leak-tight seal after repeated tightening cycles during service work. The 45° conical face is finished to a mirror smoothness to mate with the matching 45° flared end on the refrigerant tubing — flaring tools from any major brand (Ridgid, Imperial, Yellow Jacket) produce a compatible flare.
Sizes run from 3/16" through 1-5/8" OD tubing, covering all standard residential and commercial refrigerant line diameters. Working pressure is up to 700 PSI for refrigerant service, well above the operating pressures of R-410A, R-32, R-454B, R-134a, R-404A, and R-407C systems. Compatibility with R-744 (CO2) systems requires special low-temperature variants — we manufacture those on request.
The complete geometry range is available: straight unions (flare-flare), reducing unions (flare-flare in mixed sizes), male and female 45° flare-to-NPT and flare-to-MIP adapters, tees (flare-flare-flare and flare-NPT combinations), 90° elbows (flare-flare and flare-NPT), and refrigerant access caps with integral 1/4" Schraeder ports for charging and pressure measurement. All flare nuts are supplied with the matching fitting body unless specified otherwise. Production complies with SAE J512 and EN 13799 dimensional standards. Lot-traceable production with COC documentation.
