Brass ball valves are the most-installed shut-off valve in residential, commercial, and light industrial plumbing systems for water, natural gas, LP gas, compressed air, and hydraulic service. Our forged brass full-port ball valves provide unrestricted flow through the same nominal ID as the connecting pipe, eliminating the pressure-drop penalty associated with reduced-port valves. The valve body is forged from C37700 brass and CNC-machined to provide a clean, square seat for the chrome-plated brass ball. The ball is offset-drilled and finished to a mirror-polish to provide bubble-tight shutoff against PTFE seats rated for -20°F to +400°F service. A blow-out-proof stem with double O-ring seals (one inside, one under the packing nut) handles working pressure up to 600 PSI WOG. The integral lever handle is steel with a vinyl grip, designed to clearly indicate valve position with quarter-turn (90°) operation between full-open and full-closed positions. We offer sizes 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", and 3" — with 1/2" and 3/4" being the highest-volume residential SKUs. Threading is NPT female on both ends as the standard configuration; NPT-to-sweat, sweat-to-sweat, and PEX-to-NPT variations are available. All valves are tested to 1.5× working pressure with seat-leak verification in our partner facility's QC lab before packaging. NSF 61 and NSF 372 lead-free certified variants for potable water service use C27450 alloy throughout — body, stem, ball, and packing components. The MSS SP-110 design standard is followed for dimensions, pressure rating, and material requirements.
