Marine ball valves — specifically the sea cock variant — provide the primary shut-off valve immediately inboard of the through-hull fitting, used to isolate raw-water systems from the sea for service, winterization, and emergency response to fitting failure or hose burst. Sea cocks must operate reliably after months or years of disuse — corrosion, fouling, and seizure of low-quality valves are the leading causes of below-waterline emergencies on recreational and commercial vessels. Our marine ball valves are manufactured from Dezincification-Resistant (DZR) brass (CW602N specification) for the body, with chrome-plated brass ball, 316 stainless stem, and PTFE seats — all materials chosen for the seawater service environment. The full-port design maintains the same nominal ID as the connecting hose or pipe, eliminating restriction at the sea cock and maintaining engine cooling flow under all conditions. Sizes are 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2" NPS (Nominal Pipe Size) covering the standard marine raw-water plumbing range. Threading is NPT female on both ends as standard, with BSP available on request. The lever handle is 316 stainless steel — important for the corrosive environment — and is sized to clearly indicate valve position with quarter-turn operation. Working pressure is 300 PSI, well above any reasonable marine raw-water service pressure. Each valve is helium leak-tested before packaging. Compliance with ABYC Standard P-1 is documented per shipment. Silicon bronze (C65500) body variants are available where the customer specifies it for matched-alloy installations. MOQ 100 pieces per size; lead time 8-10 weeks.
