Brass Cable Glands — Metric & PG Thread

Product Description

Brass cable glands provide the mechanical interface where a power, control, or instrumentation cable enters a sealed enclosure — providing strain relief, IP-rated environmental sealing, and (in hazardous-area variants) flame-path containment for the cable entry point. Our nickel-plated brass cable glands are manufactured from C36000 free-machining brass with an 8μm minimum nickel plating for corrosion resistance in industrial environments, and an EPDM rubber sealing ring sized to compress around the cable jacket to achieve IP68 rating per IEC 60529 when properly installed with the matching locknut. We supply both metric thread (M16, M20, M25, M32, M40, M50, M63) covering the European IEC standard, and PG thread (PG7, PG9, PG11, PG13.5, PG16, PG21, PG29) for legacy German/European installations and applications where PG threading is specified by drawing or local code. Cable acceptance range varies by size: M16/PG7 accepts 3-7mm OD cables, scaling up to M63/PG29 accepting 32-42mm OD cables. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +100°C continuous, with brief excursions to +120°C permissible. The locknut, sealing washer, and clamping insert are supplied with the gland body — no separate small parts to order. We comply with IEC 62444, EN 50262, and BS 6121 dimensional and performance standards, and provide RoHS 3 substance compliance declarations on request. Standard finish is nickel-plated; brass-natural and chrome-plated variants available for cosmetic exposed installations. ATEX-rated hazardous-area variants for Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications are produced on customer request. Bulk OEM packaging and retail bulk-pack programs available.
